Our Story
We are Cody and Cari Sanders, and The HoleShot Ministry was born out of God’s amazing grace and redemption in our lives. For over a decade, we were caught in the grip of addiction. We lost nearly everything—our family, our stability, our peace. But in one desperate moment, Cari cried out to God… and He answered.
God not only restored our marriage and family, He gave us a brand-new purpose: to share the hope of Jesus Christ with others who feel broken, lost, or unworthy. Today, we stand redeemed and renewed, living proof that no one is too far gone for the love of Christ to reach.
Motocross has always been a part of our lives, and the Lord gave us a vision to use the motocross community as our mission field. Riders, families, and fans gather at the track every weekend, and that’s where we want to be—meeting people where they are, offering prayer, encouragement, and the good news of the gospel.
Right now, The HoleShot Ministry focuses on spreading faith through devotionals, T-shirts, and presence at the track. With future support, we hope to grow into offering baptisms, children’s ministry stations, and rider support at events.
We are now a 501(c)(3) nonprofit EIN 39-2155609, and every shirt sold, donation given, and prayer lifted helps us keep going Full Throttle for the Father!
Core Values
The HoleShot Ministry is built on a foundation of faith, love, and service. These values guide every interaction we have at the track and in our community.
Faith First — Everything we do flows from our relationship with Jesus Christ. From praying with riders to sharing devotionals, we keep the gospel at the center of our mission.
Love in Action — Love isn’t just something we talk about; it’s something we live out. Supplying cold waters, encouraging families, and blessing bikes are simple but powerful ways we show the love of Christ.
Community Connection — Motocross is more than a sport—it’s a family. We value building real relationships with riders, parents, and track owners by meeting them where they are and walking alongside them.
Servant Leadership — We believe in leading by serving. Whether helping in the pits, offering prayer, or just being available to listen, we put others before ourselves.
Hope and Redemption — Our story is one of God’s restoration, and we carry that message everywhere we go. We want every person we meet to know that no one is too far gone for God’s love to reach.
These values aren’t just words on a page—they’re lived out in the dust, sweat, and everyday moments at the track. They are the heartbeat of The HoleShot Ministry.

Team & Volunteers
At its heart, The HoleShot Ministry is a family calling. Right now, the ministry is led by us — Cody and Cari Sanders — who bring our personal testimony, passion for motocross, and love for Jesus into everything we do.
Cody Sanders — A lifelong motocross rider and current racer, Cody connects with riders on and off the track in a way only another racer can. His story of redemption and perseverance inspires others to push forward in faith, both on the bike and in life.
Cari Sanders — With a heart for ministry and a gift for organization, Cari helps guide the vision of The HoleShot Ministry. She carries the message of restoration and encouragement, sharing her own testimony and creating devotionals and resources that bless the motocross community.
Though we are small, we believe God will grow this ministry in His timing. As support and resources increase, we hope to welcome volunteers and team members who share our passion for serving riders, families, and fans at the track.
Ministry Impact
At The HoleShot Ministry, we believe impact happens in the everyday moments at the track. We’ve seen God move powerfully through simple acts of love and service, and riders and families are being encouraged because of it.
Prayer at the gate and in the pits — Whether it’s a rider battling nerves before the start or a family walking through struggles off the track, we’ve been blessed to pray with them right where they are. Time and again, people share how much peace and hope they feel after someone takes the time to pray.
Supplying cold waters — What seems like a small thing has opened countless doors for conversation and connection. A cold bottle of water on a hot race day often leads to a thankful smile, a moment of encouragement, and sometimes even a faith conversation that changes everything.
Bike blessings — Riders light up when their bikes are prayed over before they roll to the line. It’s more than a blessing over the machine—it’s a reminder that God is with them in every jump, corner, and finish line moment.
Meeting needs as they arise — From lending a hand in the pits to offering encouragement after a tough race, we’re there to serve in practical ways. These small acts of kindness show the love of Jesus in action and let people know they’re not alone.
Every one of these moments builds relationships, opens hearts, and leaves a mark far beyond race day. The motocross community is hungry for encouragement, and The HoleShot Ministry is honored to be part of what God is doing at the track.
